Arquicostura at Chicago Botanic Garden

ThePartners has managed the main art installation for the Chicago Botanic Garden in its 2025 cycle of activities, “Patterned by Nature,” with a striking artistic intervention by Spanish artist Raquel Rodrigo, internationally known as Arquicostura.

Entitled “Future” and inspired by the native Echinacea flower, symbol of the Chicago Botanic Garden, the work on the main façade and one of its access walkways combines two-dimensional floral patterns with three-dimensional structures to create a symbolic horizon that alludes to the future of the institution. A dialogue between tradition, craftsmanship, and contemporary art that proposes new ways of relating to cultural heritage, connecting local identity with a global artistic language.

Known for bringing the textile tradition of embroidery to an architectural scale around the world, Arquicostura’s work has been seen at fairs and festivals such as Fuori Salone (Milan), Urvanity Art Fair (Madrid), Design Week (Lima), Design Festival (Madrid), Asalto (Zaragoza), Upfest (Bristol), Peinture Fraiche (Lyon), Artichoke Festival (Estavayer le Lac), Flower Festival (Istanbul), and has collaborated with brands such as Hilton Hotels, Diriyah Season, Barceló Hotels, Barclays Bank, UtopicUs, Cervezas Alhambra, Anartxy, Primor, and Replay, among others.
