Enre on the Star of the Seas

As part of their collaboration with ICArt and Royal Caribbean, ThePartners managed the Surf the Wave project in its entirety, conceived for the Star of the Seas. The commission consisted of creating a large-scale sculptural installation that would bring a distinctive artistic identity to different levels of a 19-story interior façade.

The proposal by the artistic collective Enre resulted in three monumental sculptures of classic surfers, inspired by the aesthetics of California and the origins of surf culture. These works establish a connection between the playful spirit of the space and the collective memory of the sea as a place of leisure and enjoyment.

Fabricated in resin and installed on decks 15, 17, and 19 of the ship, the figures appear to emerge from the architecture and project outward, as if floating in mid-air.

Enre is a collective of artists and creative directors with over thirty years of experience in the fields of art and creativity. Their practice moves between the artistic and the commercial, combining plastic experimentation with projects developed for major international clients. Their identity is deliberately eclectic, spanning the tangible and the digital, the commercial and the experimental, always from a playful vision that understands art as a process of constant exploration.
