Alejandra Glez
Alejandra Glez (Havana, 1996) is a multidisciplinary artist working across photography, installation, performance and video art. Her practice addresses identity, the body and memory from a perspective rooted in Afro-Cuban heritage and migratory experience. Water and the body function as recurring symbolic axes in her work, articulating narratives around motherhood, lineage and resistance. She has held solo exhibitions at Aurora Vigil-Escalera (Madrid and Gijón), Thomas Nickles Project (New York) and La Acacia Gallery (Havana). She has participated in the Havana Biennial and in fairs such as ARCOmadrid, Estampa and Art Miami.
